Country life is sweet. There’s something about growing up in the mountains with limitations that brought out the creativity in me. Stomping through the woods as a kid is where I met a best friend, me. It is where I grew up to believe I’m a professional psychiatrist only for myself.
Funny how a General Ed Diploma (GED) was enough to get by years ago. I got one for fast food jobs, maid services, cashier clerk, sewing factories, valet parking. These opportunities expired so I expected college could beat the odds. So far, higher education has not improved my earnings. I have occasionally encountered over-qualification hindrances. Nevertheless, I am still confident in my own personal potential.
My home is rural North America. This is a casual and simplistic lifestyle where computer science is trivial. Frankly, computer geeks are a dime-a-dozen. So entrepreneurial endeavors was my master plan. In the real world, I failed at it. My doctorate was interrupted so I accepted the eLearning education specialist (Ed.S) degree instead.
In summary, my plan was to telecommute. So far, serendipity moments to use that academia have been rare. Since I’m the captain of my own ship, I expect for this to improve. What’s your story? Contact me here.
